The CE mark, or formerly EC mark, is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA) since 1985. The CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that are manufactured in, or designed to be sold in, the EEA.
And also, CE logo might contain 4 numbers which stand for Notified Body number.
The actual words signified by "CE" have been disputed. It is often taken to be an abbreviation of Conformite Europeenne, meaning "European Conformity". However, "CE" originally stood for "Communaute Europeenne", French for "European Community".
CE mark means the products satisfy the requirements of EU board directive which related to the safety, health, environment and the consumer protection. So CE mark should be attached on the products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA)

EMC means all the electric/ electronic equipments which include electronic parts and facilities. And EMC contains any equipment which interrupts near equipments and its function.
Equipment shall be so designed and manufactured, having regard to the state of the art, as to ensure that:
Installation and intended use of components
fixed installation shall be installed applying good engineering practices and respecting the information on the intended use of its components, with a view to meeting the protection requirements set out in Point1. Those good engineering practices shall be documented and the documentation shall be held by the person(s) responsible at the disposal of the relevant national authorities for inspection purposes for as long as the fixed installation is in operation.
The Radio Equipment Directive (RED) of the European Union (EU) was published in the Official Journal of the European Union in 2014, and is applicable to all electrical and electronic devices that intentionally emit and receive radio waves at frequencies below 3000 GHz.
The Radio Equipment Directive replaces the EU’s Radio and Telecommunications Terminal (R&TTE) Directive (99/5/EC), which was originally published in 1999.
The general principles of the Radio Equipment Directive are similar to those of the R&TTE Directive, requiring compliance with essential requirements addressing health and safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and the efficient use of the radio spectrum.
As with other EU directives, the Radio Equipment Directive relies on harmonised standards for specific technical requirements, and compliance with these requirements provides a presumption of conformity with the Directive’s essential requirements.
The requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive come into effect in June 2016, and radio equipment and devices placed on the market after that date will be required to comply with its requirements.
Manufacturers of products that are compliant with the requirements of the R&TTE Directive will have until June 2017 to meet the requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive. New or derived products which fall within the scope of the RED may enter the market under a DoC citing the R&TTE until 13th June 2017.
It is the duty of Member States to protect, on their territory, the safety and health of persons and, where appropriate, domestic animals and property and, in particular, that of workers, especially against the hazards resulting from the use of equipment and systems providing protection against potentially explosive atmospheres.
